This section will cover Volumes 7 - 8.

Act 24, Volume 7 begins with both Mamoru and Rei, with their extrasensory powers, hearing the call that is to wake Mistress 9, the main evil force behind Pharoh 90 - the new villain. That same morning Usagi wakes up and rushes to school, whole at home Chibi Usa and Usagi's mother watch the news and learn of a monster attack on the private 'Infinity School'. Eyewitmesses said that the girls suddenly changed into monsters in something called 'ATAVISM' - a state where humans return to the form of their 'ancestors' as gorillas. Chibi Usa then leaves to catch up with Usagi who is late meeting Mamoru.

Chibi Usa and Usagi vie for Mamoru's attention along with Luna and Artemis' young gray kitten, Diana. Chibi Usa sees her friend from school, Momo-chan/Momoko and runs off with the girl. Usagi is left to ponder about the events that brought Chibi Usa to be with them, their latest battle and victory.

She holds onto Mamoru, and looks up at him. He looks into her eyes and kisses her.

"Awaken. The beginning of the ruin."

Mamoru pulls back.

"Mamo-chan?"

"No, it's nothing."

"One moment I'm happy," Usagi thinks. "The next I'm filled with anxiety. This happiness won't last long. I'm worried. There's nothing I can do. But... It's fate. I can overcome whatever happens. That's the mission I carry on my shoulders. That's my ordeal."

We now meet, for the first time, Haruka and Michiru.

A woman with shoulder-length green hair climbs out of the swimming pool on the top floor of the skyscraper. A helicopter hovers outside the window. She picks up the phone. "Kaiou Maru? Morning. If I don't go to meet him now, I'll be late." She sets the phone down. "The sea is rough today."

A car pulls up at the side of the race track. A man with short blond hair steps out. A huge crowd cheers from the stands.

"Haruka!" another person says. "You took that straight course full throttle!"

"This machine's the best," the man says. "I'd like to drive it some more."

"No! You need to get used to it. You should take five thousand laps, or you'll wreck it!"

Two people watch them from a distance. "That guy's really popular," says one.

"You don't know him?" says the other. "That's Ten'ou Haruka! He's famous in Japan for being a brilliant young racer!" Two helicopters fly overhead. "That's Haruka's plane, the Ten'ou Maru, and his sweetheart's plane, the Kaiou Maru."

Haruka picks up a phone. "Hello? Michiru? You're late." He looks at the sky. "The wind is raging today."

Haruka and Michiru leave the track.

"Hey! Is that Kaiou Michiru!? She's a violinist!"

"She really keeps company with Haruka!? That's a shock! But they're a perfect couple."

"They go to the same school together."

"Oh, they go to the Infinity School!"

We no return to Usagi and her friends.

"Hello!"

"Welcome!" Motoki says. "Usagi-chan, Naru-chan."

"You're late!" Ami says, smiling. "While I've been waiting for you, I read three books!"

"I was thinking you were out goofing off," says Rei.

Minako sits in a racing game. "Hey!" she calls. "We've been waiting, Usagi!"

"Hurry, hurry," Makoto says. "This game's great!"

"What? 'Battle Lapp'? Are you all racing fans?"

They sit Usagi in the chair and put a helmet on her head. "Your body feels like you're actually racing! Here's the helmet. Step on the clutch and start the engine." Usagi plays the game with her friends urging her on when Naru (Molly) sees Haruka playing the same racing game nearby. Haruka has caught upto Usagi immediately on the game and both are going extremely fast. All of a sudden they crash and Usagi shakily removes the helmet from her head commenting on how realistic the crash felt.

"With the helmet on," says Usagi, "I couldn't feel how fast I was going."

Haruka gets up and takes off his helmet. "Hey," he says. "Thinking like that is a quality of a racer."

Minako and Makoto stare at him. "Oh! He's cute!"

Mamoru walks down the street, approaching the Crown Game Center. He bumps into Michiru, who is standing outside. A hand mirror drops to the ground.

"Oh," Mamoru says. "Excuse me."

Their hands touch as they both reach to pick it up.

Michiru looks at his reflection in the mirror. "The color of your eyes is very noble. Perhaps you were a prince in a previous life."

Mamoru's eyes widen. "How do you know that?" he asks.

"This mirror reflects previous lives."

Haruka sees the two standing outside. He slaps Usagi on the back. "Let's race again, odango atama." He leaves the game center.

"I'm sorry," Michiru says to Mamoru. "That was a strange thing to say. Don't think badly of me. Goodbye." She walks away with Haruka.

"I haven't seen that uniform around here," Mamoru thinks. "She was beautiful, but I couldn't read her face."

"So you've made another friend," Michiru says.

"Jealous?" asks Haruka. "Odango atama. She's still a kid, and she's cute."

"Hey, hey! Usagi!" Naru calls. "That cool guy! He's a celebrity! I've seen him somewhere before. He was wearing an Infinity School uniform!"

"Infinity School?" asks Usagi.

"Yeah, don't you know?" says Umino (Melvin). "It's in the business district delta reclaimed from Tokyo Bay. It's a newly-established private school inside the Infinity district."

"The Infinity School is for talent, Olympic athletes, and musicians," says Naru. "Since all these amazing people go there, it's called a genius school. It's famous now."

Naru picks up a magazine. "Hey look! I thought I'd seen him before! That guy from before is a racer. Ten'ou Haruka!"

Usagi looks at the picture. "Wow! A real racer!"

"He transferred to Infinity from Juuban Municipal High School."

"Maybe he comes to the Juuban shopping district!" thinks Minako.

Two girls walk by. "Hey! Some Infinity School kids! Their girls' uniforms are cute!"

The heart-shaped brooch on Usagi's chest flashes. "My brooch...!?"

"Usagi?" says Naru.

One of the Infinity girls doubles over, and a black monster comes out from her back. Usagi and the others gasp.

"An enemy!?"

"I've got Naru-chan and Umino!" Mamoru calls. He takes them away.

"Somebody help!!" the girl calls.

"Everyone!" Minako says. "Transform!"

They tranform and attack. The monster is destroyed. The girl falls to the ground, as the part attached to her fades away.

"It separated from a human!?"

"Hurry!" Makoto says. "Call for first aid!"

Haruka and Michiru watch from a distance.

"Someone's eyes..." thinks Minako. "Is the monster still...!?" She turns around. "No one's there!?"

"The instant when that girl changed into a monster..." Usagi thinks. "My brooch... The Mystical Silver Crystal reacted?"

A faint light glows around Haruka and Michiru.

The girls speak with Luna and Artemis who inform them of Atavism and its link with the Infinity School.

"I'm hoooome!"

"You're late, Usagi," says her mom.

"I was eating dinner with everyone at Mako-chan's. It was great!"

Chibi-Usa is talking on the phone. "Okay then, Mamo-chan. See you tomorrow."

Usagi picks her up. "Hey, did you call Mamo-chan? What did you want with him?"

Chibi-Usa sticks out her tongue. "It's a secret!"

"Why you little..!!"

"Cut it out, you two!" her mom yells. "Chibi-Usa-chan is going to the amusement park tomorrow with her friends. I can't watch them. Wouldn't it be dangerous for kids to be alone!? Lots of weird things are going on."

"I'm going to Infinity C Park with Mamo-chan!" Chibi-Usa says. "We're going to ride a roller coaster over the sea!"

"What!?" Usagi cries. "The new amusement park!? That's not faiiiiir!" She grabs the phone and calls Mamoru, who explains that:

"Ikuko-mama pushed so hard, I couldn't turn her down," Mamoru says.

"Then I'm going too!" says Usagi.

"Weren't you going to go scout the Infinity School tomorrow?" he asks.

Usagi moans and starts whining loudly.

Mamoru plugs his ear. "Usa!" he says. "The new park is Infinity C Park. It's in the Delta. That's where the Infinity School is. On Infinity Bank. The park is right next to the Infinity School. You can contact me with your communicator if anything happens."

Luna and Artemis look at a map on the monitor. A triangular park is highlighted. "The Delta. In the center on the project recovering from Tokyo Bay. It's an equilateral triangle with three parts. The parts are called the Ten'ou zone, the Kaiou zone, and the Meiou zone." "Office buildings lined in rows have been built in the city. The center of the Delta is called the Infinity zone. That's the location of the Infinity School."

We are now taken to the villains and for the first time meet the Witches 5! Kaolinite, the main correspondant to the evil Pharoh 90 reveals to the 5 women that if they destroy the sailor soldiers they will be rewarded with the priviledge of contacting Pharoh 90 and will attain positions similar to Kaolinite's

The next morning, the Senshi are investigating the Delta and the Infinity School.

"So this is the Infinity School," Rei says. "I feel an aura. The power of a strong aura is pervading it."

"The density of the building space isn't correct," says Ami. "It's warped."

"This isn't an ordinary building wind," says Makoto. "It's disturbed. A storm is coming."

Minako whirls around.

"Mina!?"

"Again..." she thinks. "Someone's eyes...!?"

A figure behind a tree watches them from a distance.

Cut to the amusement park where Chibi Usa is riding the roller coaster.

Mamoru and Asanuma sit at a table with the other kids.

"Aren't you going to ride it, Mamoru-senpai?" Asanuma asks.

"No, I really don't go for that kind of thing."

"Chibi-Usa must be crazy to ride that roller coaster twice!" says Kyusuke.

"Are you all in Chibi-Usa's class too?" asks Mamoru.

"Yeah!" the kids say.

"Why don't you get me some more juice," he says.

As she rides the roller coaster, Chibi-Usa's hat flies off into the sky.

She and Momoko get off. "Momo-chan, I'm going to go get my hat!" she says.

"Then I'll go too!" says Momoko.

"I saw where it landed, it's okay! I'll be back right away!"

Momoko joins the others.

"Huh!? Momo-chan?" Mamoru says. "Where's Chibi-Usa?"

"Mamo-chan...She left the park to get her hat!?" he says.

"Damnit..." Mamoru runs off.

"I thought it was around here," Chibi-Usa says. She looks up at the skyscraper nearby. "Oh! The other side of the building!"

Cut to Usagi and the senshi.

"The Infinity School. A kindergarten class, an elementary class, a junior high class, a high school class, a college, and a graduate class. It's a complete education in one school. The owner of the Infinity zone where the school stands is the school management. It looks like various other institutions also run it."

"Guards at the entrance..." Makoto says. "They have the most advanced security system. What should we do?"

"I'll get inside!" Usagi says. "I'll beat it." Usagi takes out her pen. "Moon Power! Transform me into an Infinity School student!" She appears in an Infinity uniform and glasses. "Stay here while I take a look inside!" Usagi calls as she goes in.

"But Usagi..."

"I wonder if she'll be okay."

"I don't know... Oh, Usagi..."

Usagi enters the magnificent building. "Wow..." she says. "It is private... A school with sixty floors. I don't believe it." She stops as music fills the air.

The other four girls look around.

"Such... a beautiful tone..."

Chibi-Usa and Mamoru look around.

"A violin?"

They all begin walking toward the sound.

"It's outstanding..." Usagi thinks. "Who is it? Who's playing?" She peeks from behind a bush, and sees Michiru standing, playing a violin. "The tune is sweet... Like waves..."

Michiru looks up at Usagi.

The others stop walking. "It stopped."

"That look!?" Minako thinks. She whips around and sees Haruka running toward them.

"You don't know what fear is," Michiru says to Usagi. "Coming to a place like this. It's dangerous. Someday your body will die."

"You shouldn't stick your neck out," says Haruka. "You can return safely now, but if you interrupt us, I will not pardon you."

"What are you doing there!?" a student calls. "Tell me what class you're in!"

"Busted!" Usagi thinks. She runs away.

"Wait!" the student calls.

"Her eyes were piercing," Usagi thinks of Michiru. "The pupils were dark and cold. It chilled me to the bone. Could she be... An enemy!?" She turns a corner. "The backside of the building!? I have to get back to the others!"

"Oh!" Chibi-Usa says. She picks up her hat. "Great. The hat I bought for Ikuko-mama." She sees a high-tech building, with a sign in front written in kanji. "Oh, can I read that?" she thinks. "...research labs?" [The complete sign reads 'Tomoe Research Labs'.] She sees a girl sitting on the ground near the entrance, coughing.

"Chibi-Usaaaaa?" Mamoru calls. "Where did she go? I have to find her soon."

Chibi-Usa touches the girl's shoulder. "Hey, are you okay?"

The girl pushes her away. "I always have these fits," she says. "It'll pass in a minute. Go away. This area is off-limits."

Usagi comes around a corner and sees them. "Chibi-Usa!? What are you doing!?" Usagi says. "Here by yourself. It's dangerous!"

"I lost the hat I bought for Ikuko-mama," says Chibi-Usa. "Then this girl... looked like she was in pain. But I guess she's fine."

"An Infinity School uniform..." Usagi thinks.

A black mass starts to appear.

Usagi and Chibi-Usa's brooches flash. "The Mystical Silver Crystal is reacting!?" A large monster grows out and swoops down at Chibi-Usa. "Atavism!?" Usagi thinks. "Chibi-Usa!?" she calls. Chibi-Usa!! Watch out!!"

Two figures shadowed by the moonlight stand in the distance. We now begin Act 25. Usagi and Chibi Usa transform. Chibi-Usa rushes to the young girl. "Watch out!" She screams as the monster reaches out for her.

"Chibi-Usa!" Usagi calls. The rod appears in her hand. "Neo-Queen Selenity! Our rod! Give your power to the heart moon rod! Moon Spiral Heart Attack!"

The monster explodes. A white cat lands on the ground. "A cat!? The monster took hold of the cat!?"

The girl moans. "You...!? Who are you?"

"Damn!" Usagi thinks. (their identities have been revealed to the girl.

"We are the soldiers of justice, Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi-Moon!" says Chibi-Usa. "You okay? Weren't you hurt?"

The girl's eyes shine white. "You are the one who is hurt," she says.

"What?" Chibi-Usa says. She looks at her arm and sees blood. "Oh, you're right."

The girl holds Chibi-Usa's arm.

Usagi whirls around. "Who's there!? Is the enemy still..."

The two shadowed figures run off into the moonlight. A green-haired woman in a sailor suit, and a blond man with a cape and mask.

Mamoru and the four soldiers run up.

"Usagi!" Chibi-Usa calls. "Look, my injury..."

"It's gone!?" Usagi thinks. "That kid..."

"When you get home, you should disinfect it," the girl says. She ties a handkerchief around Chibi-Usa's arm. "It's eerie. Since I was small... I've had this strange power."

"Sailor Moon!" Mamoru calls. "Chibi-Moon!"

"You should leave this place at once," the girl says. "If the guards find you, you'll be in trouble."

"Thanks," Chibi-Usa says. "Umm... If you don't mind, could you tell me something? Your name."

This girl is revealed to be Tomoe Hotaru, Hotaruchan, she leaves to go home in a fit of coughs. When she gets home, she meets Kaolinite (one of Pharoh 90's henchwomen), who has been Professor Tomoe's (Hotaru's father) assistant for a long time. Hotaru does not like Kaolinite. Hotaru now lies in bed with a very painful fit. She has taken medicine and her father enters to give her a necklace with a jewel on it. It belonged to Hotaru's dead mother and is an amulet that was passed down in the family. The amulet calms and eases her fits.

Cut to the underground command center, where all discuss the new woman dressed as a sailor soldier and the man in tuxedo and cape whom they refer to as a Tuxedo Kamen as well. They argue as to whether the couple are enemies. Usagi thinks of the way they looked, so similar in apearance to herself and the senshi, and she does not believe they are enemies. After the discussion, the group separates.

"Be careful," Usagi says. She walks off with Mamoru and Chibi-Usa. "Hey, Chibi-Usa. You shouldn't give away our real identities so readily. We don't know what form the enemy could be taking!"

"Sorry... But I thought I could be friends with that kid. I liked Hotaru-chan. That pure-white skin... She was pretty."

"That kid..." Usagi thinks. "She had the power to heal Chibi-Usa's injury..."

Mamoru and Luna are together now working on the computer and learn that the owner of the Infinity School and Tomoe Research Labs is Tomoe Souichi. - Hotaru's father.

Later that night, Kaolinite is sitting gazing into a pool of water at a castle and calling for the Three Talismans. At her anxious calls, Mamoru's eyes open because he can sense the evil calls.

Mamoru sits up in bed. Usagi and Chibi-Usa lie asleep next to him. "Again. That dream... Someone is calling... for someone else to awaken... The three talismans? Ruin? Three talismans? Saying for us to come? Or else... Recalling the ruin. Trying to get us?"

Cut to Michiru and Haruka

"What is it?"

Michiru stares at her mirror. "I was thinking of fortunetelling, and it was interrupted. The mirror got cloudy. But then it cleared up."

Haruka puts his arms around her. "Michiru... What we're doing. It might be useless. Whatever we do, it could already be too late."

"We knew that when we started, Haruka. The wheels of fate have spun. The new awakening will come soon. We will have all the three talismans."

Mamoru walks down the street, reading a book on the Infinity School. "Professor Tomoe..."

Michiru watches him. "Are you investigating the Infinity School?" she asks. "The owner, Professor Tomoe, is very famous. Of course, he was expelled from the academic society..."

"Expelled?"

"There's part of the Infinity School, called the magician training school. Do you know of it? I wonder if it's because very versatile people attend it. Or else..."

A girl approaches them. "Excuse me..." she says. "Are you the violinist, Kaiou Michiru-san?"

"Yeah."

"Wow! I'm a fan! Please sign this for me!"

Michiru takes the girl's signature board.

"The violinist, Kaiou Michiru..." Mamoru says. "Then, are you one of the versatile magicians too?"

"That's right," says Michiru. "I'm having a concert soon. I'll give you some tickets."

Usagi sees the two from a distance. "That's... Mamo-chan?" she thinks. "Why are they... together? She's one of the people we're watching. What are they talking about? Mamo-chan?" She envisions the face of the shadowed sailor soldier. "That person..." (Usagi is jealous)

Usagi enters the Crown Game Center. She screams as someone yanks on one of her ponytails.

"Hey there, odango!" Haruka says. "We meet again. Do you come here often?"

Usagi envisions the face of the man wearing a mask. "Ten'ou Haruka-san... He looks like... that masked soldier from before."

"Hey," she says. "Are you... a sailor soldier?"

Haruka's eyes widen. "What?" he says. "What's that? A sailor soldier?"

"Ohhhh!!" Usagi thinks. "Stupid! Stupid! Usagi you idiot! That's a man!"

"I like the sound of that," Haruka says. "A soldier. Fighting. Do you and your friends all fight together?"

"Fight together!?" Usagi says.

"Don't go near Usagi!" voices call.

Haruka turns and sees the four girls. "Hmph..."

Scene changes.

Chibi-Usa sits down to a sundae at the Crown Fruit Parlor with everyone and tells them she is now president of her new class. She is in 5th grade and the senshi are finally in 9th grade. (April is the start of the Japanese school year) Usagi comments on how depressing it is since entrance exams are coming, and Minako is also depressed because if in enemies show up, she will be held back.

"Don't be so gloomy," says Makoto. "Look! It's April 17th! Rei-chan's birthday! Let's throw her a party! Huh!? Rei-chan!? Where is she!?"

"Rei-chan's been training on Mt. M since yesterday," Minako says. "She wanted to cleanse herself on the mountain for her fifteenth birthday."

It is then revealed that the Infinity School has a traditional new student camp on Mt. M."

A woman approaches a pool of water. A black star is on her forehead. "Kaolinite," she says. "I am the first of the Witches 5, Eudial. As Arimura Yuuko, I teach the Infinity School's philosophy class on etiquette."

Eudial swears to kill the enemies and gather the Three Talismans. Kaolinite urges that the true form of the light will come through the Talismans and before that, the talismans must be destroyed. As she says this, Rei, who is near the Infinity building, hears it in her mind.

"What is this ruin!?" Rei thinks. "What is beginning!? The three talismans? Are those the key words that will lead the new enemies to ruin?"

"Rei-chaaaaaan!"

"Ma- Mako-chan!?"

"We finally found you!" Makoto says.

"Hey! Rei-chan!" calls Usagi.

"Everyone!?"

Usagi, Ami, and Minako walk up, breathing heavily.

"I think I'm going to die..." Minako says.

"This is the summit of the mountain," says Ami.

"Rei-chan," Usagi says. "Do you always train here!?"

"What's wrong!?" Rei says.

"Happy 15th birthday, Rei-chan!" they all say.

"I baked you a cake," says Makoto. "We wanted to throw you a party."

"I brought you some of your favorite flowers," says Minako. "Casablancas."

"I got you pair cups!" says Usagi.

"I got you a complete advice book," says Ami. "Since we're finally in 9th grade, we can work through it together!"

"Hey, Rei-chan," Makoto says. "Did you know? The new students at the Infinity School have a camp here. They're staying at the lodge."

"Yeah, I thought that was a little interesting, and I came here," Rei says.

"So why didn't you tell us!" Makoto says. "You came by yourself!"

"Wait a second. I'm getting a feeling of foreboding. We must guard Usagi tightly. If we protect her in advance, then she won't be drawn in..."

"Okay," says Makoto.

They hear noises from the building. "What's that!?"

"They're practicing judo on the other side of the lodge," says Rei. They all go over there, and peek around the wall to watch.

"What?" Haruka says. "It's you. We meet often, don't we."

"Oh no..." Usagi thinks. "How... did we meet again!?"

"What are you up to?" he asks. "Here at the heart of the mountain. Are you staying at this lodge too? What a coincidence."

"No!" says Makoto. "We're training on this mountain too!"

"Training, eh?" Haruka says. "So, would anyone care to practice with me? It'll help you learn. But I don't suppose you can do judo..."

"I certainly can!" Makoto says. She puts on a uniform, and she faces Haruka on the mat. "This overconfident yahoo..." she thinks. Before she knows it, Makoto finds herself slammed onto the mat.

"Huh!?"

"Mako-chan!?" Ami calls.

"That's wrong!" Minako says. "Throwing weak girls down so hard!"

"I don't discriminate," Haruka says. "If a girl can't beat a boy, don't you think she deserves it? If she loses, can she protect those important to her?"

The instructor Eudial interrupts them and the training stops for now. Late that night:

Makoto wakes up as she hears a noise. "Huh...? Rei-chan!?"

"Shh..." Rei says. She takes Makoto outside, where students gather around a fire. "It looks like they're starting a meeting, in the middle of the night. Look, they're purifying their bodies in the waterfall."

Eudial stands in the center of the gathering. "We will now begin the new student orientation," she says. "To promote the life of the school, we will learn the doctrine of the Infinity School together. You love this school alone, so you will do all you can for it. You must not disobey the leader of the school. Devote your mind and body to the founder of the school, our master Pharaoh 90. To our master Pharaoh 90! Your mind and body!"

"Inside the flame..." Rei thinks. "The shape of a black star!?" Black stars appear on the foreheads of the students.

"For our master..." Eudial says. "For our survival... From now on, you will spend your days training to be vessels. Devote your souls and vitality!"

A light flashes. "Who's there!?" she says.

"This is the end of your little banquet! I am the soldier of war, and I carry the protection of the planet of fire, Mars. I am Sailor Mars!"

"I am the soldier of protection, and I carry the protection of the planet of thunder, Jupiter. I am Sailor Jupiter!"

"You've appeared, sailor soldiers!" Eudial says. "I am Eudial, of level 78 of the Witches 5 of the Death Busters! I will defeat you, and my level will be raised!"

"Mars Snake Fire!!" Rei calls. Eudial is enveloped in flame, and mutates. "She turned into a monster!?"

"Usagi-chan! Usagi-chan!" Ami says.

"Huhh...?"

"Rei-chan and Mako-chan are gone!"

"What!?"

"Usagi! Ami!" Minako says. "Flames!"

As the monster charges at Rei and Makoto, the other soldiers run up.

"Moon Spiral Heart Attack!" The monster vanishes in a flash of light. "It disappeared!?"

"She said the 'Death Busters.'"

"The Death Busters!? Are they the new enemies!?"

"That! Look...!" Minako thinks.

"Is the enemy still here!?"

They turn and see a woman with short blond hair in a sailor suit running away into the woods.

Act 26

"Wait!" Usagi calls. She runs after her.

"Usagi!" calls Minako.

Usagi runs through the forest. "She's so fast! Like the wind. I can't catch up!" She stops as she reaches a clearing. "I lost her!? Oh no!"

"I figured you wouldn't catch me," the woman says, sitting in a tree.

Usagi looks up at her. "You're..."

The woman jumps down. "Odango-chan. Don't disturb us. Fighting together would be dangerous."

She holds Usagi's chin and kisses her on the lips. A bright light flashes.

"Sailor Moon!" Minako calls. She and the others run up, and see Usagi sitting alone on the ground.

"That person..." Usagi thinks. "It can't be... a sailor soldier!?"

"You came in contact with a sailor soldier!?" Luna says.

"So!?" Artemis says. "What was the soldier's name!?"

"She didn't say..." says Usagi.

"Anything else!?"

"She said... not to disturb them..."

"And?"

Usagi remembers the kiss. "That's all," she says.

"Her face?" Ami asks. "Did you see it?"

"It was dark," says Usagi. "I couldn't see it well."

"I don't believe it," says Rei. "Could these really be other sailor soldiers?"

"If they are," Ami says, "why are they acting separately from the rest of us?"

"We still don't know they actually are sailor soldiers," says Minako. "We should catch them, and reveal their true identities."

Usagi looks at a racing magazine as she lies in bed. "Ten'ou Haruka... Haruka-san... He looks like..."

"Odango-chan," said the blond sailor soldier.
"Odango," said Haruka.

Usagi drifts off to sleep.

"Hey odango," Haruka says.

"Huh?" says Usagi.

He bends down and kisses her deeply. As he pulls back, Usagi sees the face of the woman in his place.

"Who are you?" Usagi asks. "The sailor soldier from before...!?"

The woman jumps away.

"Wait! Why do you always run!? Tell me why!"

"The time has not yet come," the woman says. "Our mission is to get..."

"What?"

"The talismans..."

The voice of the woman echoes in the minds of the five soldiers, and Mamoru.

"Unless we gather the three talismans, for the god of ruin..."

They all wake up suddenly.

"That dream...!" Mamoru thinks.

"The talismans!?" the girls think.

"An ominous dream..." thinks Rei. "I feel a sense of foreboding... They must not gather the talismans!"

"Morning, Usa," Mamoru says. "You're late."

Usagi looks down. "M- Morning," she says. She remembers the kiss. "I can't even show him my face..." she thinks. She looks at posters on the wall. "Kaiou Michiru!? She's an amazing violinist. Mamo-chan... Is he concerned about Michiru-san?"

Usagi walks down the street after school. "Oh, school was so hard today... I just want to go play a video game." As she approaches the Crown Game Center, she sees Haruka. "Oh!"

"Since your friends told me not to go near you," he says, "I no longer intend to come here. But, I wanted to see you."

"Why is my heart beating so hard?" Usagi thinks. "It's because of that dream I had. It's weird. This person... He looks like a man... and a woman..."

"I haven't told you my name yet," he says.

"I know it," says Usagi. "Ten'ou Haruka-san. You're famous. You and Michiru both."

"If you hear Michiru play once, you'll love it. She makes the music come alive with her instrument. She's a magician. If you're interested, would you like to go hear her?" He holds out some tickets. "Tell me your name, odango."

"Tsukino Usagi..."

"I want to know..." Usagi thinks. "About these people. Is that what Mamo-chan was thinking? I want to know about this person."

"Usagi?" Haruka says. "That's cute."

A strong wind blows.

"Haruka-san!?" Usagi says. Haruka is gone. "A person like the wind... Ten'ou Haruka-san..."

Mamoru watches her from around a corner.

That scene was very important. We see the jealous and protective sides of both Usagi and Mamoru for eachother.

"'The Infinity Commemorative Dome has finally been completed on the Infinity School campus,'" Luna reads from the newspaper. "'It's the largest hall in all of Japan. A hotel is also scheduled to be built in the area. It will be constructed soon in the center of the Infinity zone reclaimed from Tokyo Bay.'"

Usagi enters and greets everyone who is discussing a concert.

"What's wrong, Mina-chan?" Usagi asks.

"Usagi!" says Minako. "The Hanyu Mimi concert is the formal opening of the Infinity School Commemorative Dome."

"Hanyu Mimi?"

"She's got lots of commercials and TV spots. Hanyu Mimi's the most popular idol right now! She has an amazing voice. I really want to go to the concert!"

"Jeez, don't be so star crazy," says Artemis. "You really like them, Mina."

"What!" Minako says. "If we sneak into the concert, we can do scouting too. We'll kill two birds with one stone."

Mamoru quietly enters the game center.

"Look at the other poster," Luna says. "It seems the violinist Kaiou Michiru is having a concert too. It's also at the Infinity School Commemorative Dome."

"Why don't we go..." Usagi says.

"Huh!?" Minako says. "To Hanyu Mimi's concert!?"

"To Kaiou Michiru's concert," says Usagi.

"You have tickets?"

"Yeah, someone gave them to me. I have one for everyone."

Mamoru looks over at her.

"I like her violin," says Ami.

"I wonder if it'll be all right," says Rei.

"We can all see what's going on there," says Makoto.

Mamoru looks down at the concert tickets in his hand.

"I'll give you two, so you can take someone," Michiru said.

Kaolinite stares at the image of Sailor Moon in the pool of water. "She killed Eudial of the Witches 5 so easily. She's strong. The fierce power of that light... It's close to the power of the Taioron Crystal. I want it. But the fortune of the reflecting pool before me... The three talismans that will lead to our ruin... If I can uncover their true forms... Then I can obtain and destroy them."

The image of a woman appears in the pool. "Kaolinite," she says.

"You had better not fail like Eudial."

"I am Mimete, of the Witches 5. Entrust the job to me. I'm the entertainment instructor at the Infinity School, as the popular idol, Hanyu Mimi. With my angelic singing voice, I will find the souls for Master Pharaoh 90."

The poster for Michiru's concert appears.

"What's this?" Kaolinite asks.

"So we can gather more sacrifices for the Death Busters," Mimete says. "Using this world-famous violinist, we can lure people to the Infinity School. And then, we can use her as our vessel..."

"Perhaps. But don't act too hastily, or you will make mistakes. No matter what, we must make the Omega Area into the second Tau star system. We will not fail before we complete the preparation for Master Pharaoh 90. The sailor soldiers will certainly come to stop us again. And when they do, eliminate them."

"Chibi-Usa-chan!" Momoko calls. "I got the photos from when we went to Infinity C Park!" She shows them to her.

"Ohh, look at my face," Chibi-Usa says. "That was fun."

"But you left in the middle," Momoko says. "That was surprising."

"Yeah..." Chibi-Usa thinks. "I wonder how Hotaru-chan's doing."

Chibi-Usa rummages through drawers at home. "I borrowed that handkerchief. Ikuko-mama washed it, but she couldn't get the blood stain out..." (the handkerchief Hotaru tied around Chibi Usa's arm)

Chibi-Usa walks by the Infinity School, carrying a new handkerchief. "I think it was in back of the park..." she says. She approaches the Tomoe Research Labs. The entrance gate is locked. "A gate... Maybe nobody's in there. I guess Hotaru-chan isn't back from school yet. Oh! Hotaru-chan!"

Hotaru looks up at her.

"Hey, I came to return your handkerchief. Thanks for before. I couldn't get the blood out of the handkerchief, so this is a new one."

"You came all the way here... just for that?" Hotaru says. "Dad and Kaoli-san will still be at the labs now..." she thinks. "Come with me," she says.

They enter Hotaru's place. Chibi-Usa looks around. "There's lamps everywhere," she says. "Your room's romantic."

"I like dark places," Hotaru says.

"Do you like your clothes dark too?" Chibi-Usa asks. "You just changed into black tights."

"From an accident long ago, I have many wounds..." (so she wears black to cover them up, she's not a goth)

"Hey, Hotaru-chan," Chibi-Usa says. "Your home is a research lab, right? What are you researching?"

Hotaru drops to the ground, coughing.

"Hotaru-chan!?"

"I always have these fits... Medicine... My amulet...Get me the amulet on the table..."

Hotaru holds it to her chest as she coughs. "You should go now... Don't come near me..."

"Hotaru-chan? Are you okay?"

Chibi-Usa opens her brooch, and takes out the Mystical Silver Crystal. "Hotaru-chan," she says. "Close your eyes. This time I'll help you."

"The pain is gone..." Hotaru says. "It's warm... Like I'm being filled with power..." She opens her eyes. "Is that your amulet?"

"Amulet?"

"That's what a charm that protects you with wondrous power is called."

"Yeah," Chibi-Usa says. "This is my precious charm. But not just for me, it can protect you too."

"I... haven't even asked your name."

"I'm Tsukino Usagi. Everyone calls me Chibi-Usa."

"Chibi-Usa-chan," Hotaru says. "I won't tell anyone. About your amulet, or Sailor Chibi-Moon. I've made mistakes. The monster that attacked you... I think it was probably an experimental creature escaped from my dad's research lab. My dad's eccentric. He's doing gruesome research. But please don't tell anyone. He's not evil. He came to save me from that accident long ago."

"I won't say anything, I promise," Chibi-Usa says. "It's our secret."

She leaves Hotaru's place. "Our secret..." she thinks. "An amulet... It's pitch-dark out. Maybe I should phone Usagi or Mamo-chan. How am I going to get home..."

A helicopter hovers over her. The door opens, and a woman with short blond hair calls out.

"Chibi-Usa-chan," she says. "If you're going to Usagi-chan's place, we'll give you a lift."

"Who are you?" Chibi-Usa says. "Usagi's friends!?"

"You might not know us," the woman says, "but we know her well."

Chibi-Usa gets in. "Wow! This is my first time riding a helicopter!"

"So you're good friends with Hotaru-chan," says the green-haired woman. "What did you talk about?"

"It's a secret!"

The two women groan.

"... We talked about amulets."

"Amulets?"

"That's what a charm that protects you with wondrous power is called. Me and Hotaru-chan both have one. How about you?"

"I guess my mirror is my charm," says the green-haired woman, looking into it.

"Then that's an amulet." "My hand mirror isn't that wonderful. This is called a talisman."

"Talisman?"

"We're at your home, Chibi-Usa-chan." Usagi and her mom look out the window. "What's that?" her mom says. "That noise is loud!"

Chibi-Usa gets out of the helicopter.

"Chibi-Usa-chan. Our meeting today, and what we talked about, is a secret."

"Chibi-Usa!?" Usagi calls.

"Usagi!" Chibi-Usa says. "I went to see Hotaru-chan! These women said they know you."

"Good night, odango-chan," the blond woman says. The helicopter takes off and flies away.

"What did you talk about!?" Usagi says.

"Just about Hotaru-chan," says Chibi-Usa.

"Really?"

"Really."

"Those two...!?" Usagi thinks.

Chibi-Usa looks at the poster of Kaiou Michiru in the Infinity Commemorative Dome. "It's that woman from the helicopter!" she thinks. "It has to be! She's a violinist."

"Chibi-Usa," Mamoru says.

"Yes!" she says.

"Huh!?" says Makoto. "Chibi-Usa!? Mamo-chan!?"

"Hey!" Chibi-Usa says. "You're all here too!"

"Mamo-chan...!" Usagi says.

"Hey."

"You didn't tell me you were coming to the concert with Chibi-Usa."

"Michiru-san gave me two tickets... I would have asked you, Usa, but you said you had tickets."

Usagi grimaces. "'Michiru'-san!" she thinks. "'Usa'!"

"What's the matter with you?" asks Rei.

"Never mind!"

"It's starting," says Ami.

They take their seats as Michiru plays her violin on-stage.

"Whirling currents..." Usagi thinks. "Washing away my troubles... It's like I'm actually near the sea."

"Her performance is breathtaking."

"I hear her violin is a five hundred million yen Stradivari named after the temple of the sea, the Marine Cathedral."

"Haruka-san..." Usagi thinks. "He's standing over in the corner..."

Minako peeks around a corner at the Hanyu Mimi concert. "I followed Usagi so I could get over here, but now I have to get inside." She takes out a crescent moon-shaped compact. "The compact from when I was V-chan! Moon Power! Change me into an Infinity School student!" She appears in an Infinity uniform, and she runs inside. "Hehehe! Success!"

"Thank you!" Mimi calls from the stage. "Today I'm singing for everyone at my favorite school! I'm so happy! I love Infinity, and all of you. I'll do anything for the school. I will even sacrifice my body. Will you?"

The crowd cheers.

"Then close your eyes, and relax. Listen quietly to the music I've made for you."

"What!?" Minako thinks. "I'm suddenly sleepy. My body won't move..."

"Devote your mind, body, and soul to me, and our master Pharaoh 90."

Minako struggles to move. "Hanyu Mimi... is an enemy!"

A man runs up to her. "Where are you going!?"

"Err... To the bathroom..."

"You're not supposed to leave your seat during the concert!"

She kicks him away. "Venus Planet Power! Make Up!!" She runs into the concert hall. "Your lovely image and melodious voice are the embodiment of an ugly evil! Everyone! Don't be fooled! I am the soldier of love, and I carry the protection of the planet of beauty, Venus. I am Sailor Venus!"

Michiru and Haruka's heads jerk up. The curtain is lowered before the stage. "What!? What's happening!? Is it over already?"

"Michiru-san left!" says Usagi. "She looked odd." The communicator on her wrist opens.

"Usagi!"

"Venus!?"

"The idol Hanyu Mimi is an enemy! Come here!"

"Everyone!" Minako calls. "Wake up! If I act now, there should still be time. Venus Love-Me Chain!" As the people in the crowd come to their senses, Minako switches off the lights. "Get out of here! Hurry!" Venus and Mimete battle.

"Damn!" Mimete says. "Kaolinite! Send me power with the help of a daimon!"

"Miserable wretch..." Kaolinite mutters. "The valuable eggs have been planted in the vessels. Hmph. Regrettable, but I will call on the failed daimons. Awaken! Daimon Power!" Three students collapse as monsters erupt from them.

"Devour them, daimons!" Mimete calls.

Usagi takes out the heart moon rod. "Moon Spiral Heart Attack!" Two of the daimons are destroyed. The remaining one charges at Mamoru and Chibi-Usa.

The daimon looms over them. "Deep Submerge!" The daimon explodes.

"Damnit!" Mimete says.

"World Shaking!"

Mimete vanishes in a flash of light.

Everyone turns to look at the two women in sailor suits.

"Who are you!?" Usagi says.

"I am the soldier of the deep waters, and I carry the protection of the planet of the sea, Neptune," says the green-haired woman. "I am Sailor Neptune."

"And I am the soldier of the sky, and I carry the protection of the planet of the wind, Uranus," says the blond woman. "I am Sailor Uranus!"

ACT 27

"Sailor Neptune!? Sailor Uranus!?"

"No way!" Minako says. "New soldiers!? I didn't know."

"There was no reason for you to know," says Sailor Uranus.

"I can't get any sense from those two...!" Rei thinks.

Chibi-Usa looks at the mirror Sailor Neptune is holding.
"This is called a talisman."
"That hand mirror!" she says. "A talisman!"

"Talisman!?" the others think.

"We meet again, Chibi-Usagi-chan," says Neptune.

"Sailor Neptune!" she thinks. "She was in the helicopter! Miss Michiru!?"

"The hand mirror is a talisman!?" Rei says. "In my ominous dream, someone said to gather the talismans. So you... Who on earth are you!?"

"A dream?" Uranus says. "So, you sense it too. The dreadful premonition. The crisis of ruin."

"If you know something, tell us!" Rei says. "What's going to happen from now on!?"

"Make no mistake. We have no intention of fighting together with you."

"Then you're not... allies?" Usagi asks.

"I don't remember saying we were allies."

"Wait!" Ami says. "Are you chasing after the Death Busters too!? What do they want!?"

"We've never spoken," Neptune says. She begins to play her violin.

"Kaiou Michiru!?" Mamoru thinks. Music fills the air.

"My head is splitting..." Makoto says.

"These two soldiers carry talismans..." thinks Rei. "Oh no...! Could these two bring about our ruin!?"

"Wait!" Mamoru calls. "Are you going to lead us to ruin!? Answer me!"

"World Shaking!!" They are all knocked to the ground.

"The sailor soldiers..." Usagi thinks. "Attacked us...!?"

Later that day:

"I don't know if I should talk about them," Luna says. "Originally, those soldiers weren't supposed to be here. Like Pluto, they have a different duty and jurisdiction. They're supposed to be far away. You weren't supposed to run into them."

"More soldiers besides Pluto...!?" Usagi thinks.

"They're said to defend the Silver Millennium from a distance. They are soldiers of legend, veiled in mystery. But it seems that they really exist. I don't believe it. They've been reincarnated, and they've appeared. There must be some state of emergency..."

"State of emergency..." Ami says. "The invasion of the Death Busters? Or is it something else...!?"

"If that's true... Why did they attack us?"

"They aren't enemies!" Usagi says. "They're ally soldiers!"

"You have no reason to say that," says Minako. "They attacked us. Just like enemies do."

"That's some greeting," says Makoto.

"For whatever reason," Minako says, "they made it clear they're not allies. If they come to attack us again, we'll have to fight them."

"Mamo-chan," says Chibi-Usa. "Those two women took me home. I really don't think they want to fight us."

Mamoru lies in bed. Usagi and Chibi-Usa are asleep next to him. He holds Usagi's hand. "What do those two want!?" he thinks. He sees a ruined city around him. A wave of water looms overhead.

"A tidal wave!? What happened here!?" A shadowed figure stands atop a devastated pillar. "Who are you?" Mamoru says. "Are you the god of ruin?"

Mamoru and Usagi open their eyes. "A dream!?"

"Mamo-chan..." Usagi says. "Did we just have the same dream!?"

"That dream..." Mamoru says. "The god of ruin..."

Rei sits before a fire. "The mirror Sailor Neptune carries is a talisman...!" she thinks. "The three talismans that will cause the ruin. Then where are the other two?"

Usagi sits in the park. "Mamo-chan's late," she says. "Looks like rain. Bad weather. Since then I haven't seen them. Sailor Neptune and Uranus..." Two hands cover her eyes. She turns around. "Mamo-chan?" She sees Haruka behind her.

"I was taking a detour from my route home," he says. "You drew me here." He turns and runs away in a gust of wind.

"Wait!" Usagi calls. "Sailor Uranus!" He stops. "You are Sailor Uranus, aren't you? There's the same scent of wind. Are you our ally? Another sailor soldier? Why won't you tell us anything?"

"I wanted to meet you while you knew nothing," Haruka says. "Usagi..."

"Haruka-san..."

He holds her face.

"Haruka-san... Are you a man? Or else, are you a woman?"

"A man, a woman..." he says. "Is it that important?"

"Usa!" Mamoru says.

"The prince appears," says Haruka. He runs away with the wind.

"Usa," Mamoru says. He holds her. "What's happened? Did he do anything to you?" (he's jealous and protective)

"No... It's not that. It's not that..." She rests her head on Mamoru's chest, her eyes watering. "Why am I crying..." she thinks. "It's hard..."

Mamoru hugs her.

Later that day we learn that Chibi Usa has to make something out of clay, something important, and give it to someone she cares for. She shows the senshi what she is doing, and they ask if it's a coffee cup.

"No!" Chibi-Usa says. "It's the legendary holy chalice."

"Legendary holy chalice? What's that?"

"That's the name of what Neo-Queen Selenity carries to keep her youth," Diana says. "When a crisis calls for it, wondrous power flows from the holy chalice. It gives Neo-Queen Selenity power, and saves the people."

"You saw a picture of it in mom's room," Chibi-Usa says. "It's covered with jewels. I want one that twinkles like that too."

"Your mom, Sailor Moon, carried it?" Ami asks. "Was she using it as a weapon?"

"I don't know," says Chibi-Usa. "Since I couldn't go in mom's room, I never asked anyone."

"I only asked Luna and Artemis a little," says Diana.

"Mom's room was full of rare items. Big pictures, books, jewels. We would lie on her pure-white bed and look around at all the things she had. We sneaked in there a lot, didn't we, Diana."

She wipes a tear from her eye.

Makoto pats her head. "Do you want to go home?"

Chibi-Usa smiles. "No. I promised mom I wouldn't come home until I become a magnificent soldier. Maybe Mamo-chan's at home. I'm going to go see."

"Want some coffee?" Mamoru asks.

"Sure," says Usagi.

They drink their coffee in silence.

"I wonder what Mamo-chan's thinking about," Usagi thinks. "Is he mad about me and Haruka-san being together...? But I couldn't help it. Haruka-san as Sailor Uranus..."

"Mamo-chan!" she says. "Umm. I..."

"Mamo-chaaaan!" Chibi-Usa calls as she bursts into the room. "I was going to meet you at the door, but you're already here!"

Usagi and Mamoru are silent.

"Have you been fighting?" Chibi-Usa asks.

"N- No!" Usagi says.

"Mamo-chan looks angry, Usagi.", Chibi Usa remarks.

"Huh?"

"What did you do, cheat on him?"

"Cheat on him..." Usagi thinks. "Is that what he's thinking? That I cheated on him..."

"Chibi-Usa," Mamoru says. "What did you come here for?"

"Well, I wanted you to help me with my homework."

"Homework!" Usagi says. "Oh no! I've got English problems to do! I'm going home."

Chibi-Usa pulls on her. "Don't go. You need to help me too. 'Kay?" She unwraps her cup-shaped piece of clay on the table.

"What are you trying to make with the clay!?"

"The holy chalice."

"Holy chalice?" Mamoru says. "How are you going to make that, from this..."

"We're making the legendary holy chalice! I've decided!"

"The legendary holy chalice?" asks Usagi.

"Make the holy chalice! Please, Mamo-chan!"

Usagi and Mamoru look at the clay.

"What on earth is the holy chalice?" Usagi says. "What do you do with it?"

"During the Holy Communion," says Mamoru, "you put the wine and holy water into it. Your body is purified, and you're given strength. It's an exceptional cup. It's probably in the encyclopedia." He opens the encyclopedia to a page on the holy chalice.

"Yeah!" says Chibi-Usa. "That's what I want to make! Then I want to put jewels all over it."

"So someone should go to the craft store to get some beads and colored stones," Usagi says.

"Usagi, nice!"

Usagi leaves the store grumbling. "So why did it have to be me...?"

She enters Mamoru's apartment. "I'm back! I brought some ice cream too."

She smiles as she sees Mamoru working with Chibi-Usa on the clay.

"Wow! Chibi-Usa! Look, look! It's great!"

"Yep, we finally finished it," says Mamoru.

"Chibi-Usa..."

They see her asleep on the floor. They smile.

Usagi puts her arms around Mamoru. "Mamo-chan... I'm sorry. For being like that with Haruka-san..."

"I believe you, Usa."

"When you were together with Michiru-san, I got really jealous. It was stupid."

"I was full of jealousy too," Mamoru says. "Jealous of that guy. But I'm sure there was a reason for it. He always looks at you in that way. I think those two have hard circumstances."

"Yeah," says Usagi. "Yeah, I guess, Mamo-chan."

"Haruka-san's painful sorrow spread..." she thinks. "I'm crying for no reason."

Mamoru holds her. "We don't need to wake Chibi-Usa up. If you want to stay here, that's okay." He holds her and kisses her.

Chibi-Usa peeks out from under her blanket. "Looks like they've made up." She had been pretending to be asleep so as to give Mamoru and Usagi a chance to talk and clear things up.

"Yep," says Diana. "Really." (Chibi Usa is really a very sweet little girl, but like all young girls they can be sweet at times and annoying as well, it's all part of their own human condition)

Later that same week, Ami, Usagi and Makoto are talking. It's been raining a lot that spring and it is depressing Ami. Midterm scholarship tests are coming up and Usagi moans that THEY are what is depressing. Ami, though, has received excellent marks again, first place! She urges Usagi to join her to go to Infinity Prep School and prepare for the exams. There is a ranking book Makoto shows them and it says that one person is above Ami, a woman named Bidou Yui. Ami says she shall go visit the girl.

When she goes to visit the school, Bidou Yui is condescending but urges Ami to join. When she returns to her friends, Minako warns her that it might be an enemy trap. Ami insists she won't be caught that easily and assures Minako that if anything happens, she will contact her. Ami leaves to return to the Infinity School

"Bad rain clouds..." Ami thinks. "Like they're coming out from this building." She enters the Infinity building.

"You're the visiting student, Mizuno Ami-san, right? Junior high is on the 13th floor. Please go to the 9th grade science class."

Ami goes into the science room, where Yui is waiting. She stands next to a glass case with a black swirl of matter inside.

"You're here," Yui says. "Mizuno-san."

"What's that?"

"Isn't it pretty? This is a miniature replica of the cosmos. I made it for a science experiment. It's the Tau star system. Mizuno-san?"

"I feel like I'm being sucked in..." Ami thinks.

Ami looks at the case. "I wonder if that's a hologram," she thinks. "The Tau star system... I've never heard of it." Yui leaves to go do something while a camera mounted on the ceiling focuses on Ami.

Kaolinite looks at the image of Ami in the pool of water. "I feel extraordinary power coming from the surface of the water," she says. "That power... Could it be... A carrier of a planet's protection? A sailor soldier!? She came by herself."

"Kaolinite. I am the leader of the science class, Bidou Yui. Leave it to me, Viluy. It was clear from the beginning that the level 40 Mimete and the level 78 Eudial would fail. By my system, the level 202 Viluy, I will obtain the souls of the sailor soldiers. The master will certainly be pleased."

"The souls of the sailor soldiers..." says Kaolinite. "It must have such strong energy." She gasps as the image in the pool vanishes.

The camera lens is shattered as Ami throws a pen into it. She runs out into the hallway. A sign by a stairway reads, "Underground Laboratory. No entry." Ami rushes down the stairs.

"Haruka!" Michiru calls, as she sees Ami running.

Ami opens the door that reads, "No entry." Eyes shine in cages all around the room. "An animal research lab!?" she says. "Another door!?" She reads the sign on the second door. "Danger!?" She looks through the window on the door. "I don't believe it! Those are... the monsters that attacked us!? Then this must be the enemies'..."

A hand grabs her shoulder. "Going to class, Mizuno-san?" Viluy asks.

"Oh no!"

Other students surround her. "In this class, I will take your soul. We'll start the utilization."

"What!?" Ami thinks. "What's she talking about!?"

"We're also interested in that utilization," Haruka says.

"Haruka-san!? Michiru-san!?"

"Seize them!" Viluy says to the students. "Take all three of them to my class!" They're dragged upstairs to the science classroom. "The operation has just begun!" Viluy says. "The nanorobots in my program will go forth from human bodies into their souls. Through my system, I will sacrifice the souls to our master Pharaoh 90! I will sacrifice the empty bodies as vessels to our compatriots! It will be glorious!"

Ami knocks the students around her away. She opens her communicator. "Usagi! Everyone!"

"Ami-chan!?"

"The Infinity School's like we thought! The enemies! The Death Busters are manipulating it!" She jumps out the window.

"You fool!" Viluy says. "This is the 13th floor!"

"Mercury Planet Power! Make Up!!" Ami lands in the swimming pool outside.

Haruka and Michiru jump out after her.

"Don't let them escape!" Viluy says. "Go after them!"

"What's the big commotion!?" Kaolinite says. "Don't let the valuable vessels escape!" she says. "The sailor soldiers are together! Get them!"

Haruka and Michiru hide in a tree.

"We can't stay at the school anymore," Haruka says.

"You're right," says Michiru.

Viluy jumps to the ground. "Where are they!? Find them!"

"You're doing needless things!" Ami says. "I am the soldier of knowledge, and I carry the protection of the planet of water, Mercury. I am Sailor Mercury!"

"So the genius girl's real identity is you, Sailor Mercury!" Viluy says. "I am your match, Viluy, level 202!"

"Mercury Aqua Mirage!"

Viluy blocks the attack. "Mosaic Buster!"

Ami gasps. "My body's..."

"Heh heh. Does it hurt? The nanomachines extracted from my program cut into your body and dissolve it! All that will be left is the soul of your beautiful spirit!"

"My body won't move...!" Ami thinks. "No..."

"Now, to our master!" Viluy says. "Sacrifice the strong, beautiful soul of the sailor soldier!"

"Mercury!" Usagi calls. The other three soldiers follow behind her.

"Daimon!" says Viluy. "Go!"

"Neo-Queen Selenity! Send your strength to our heart moon rod!" Usagi stops as she sees two figures before her. "Haruka-san!? Michiru-san!?"

"Uranus Planet Power!"
"Neptune Planet Power!"
"Make Up!!"

"Our demonic talisman!" says Uranus. "Show thy power and protect us! Space Sword!" A transparent sword materializes in her hands, and she slices through Viluy.

Ami falls to the ground. "Mercury!"

"Sailor Uranus's space sword!?" Rei thinks. "Is that... the second talisman!?"

Uranus and Neptune run away in a gust of wind.

"Wait!" Usagi calls. "Uranus! Neptune! They came to save us...?"

ACT 28

As this battle ends, Motoko (Andrew in the Dic dub) stops by KO University. KO University is the fictional equivalent of Keio University, one of the most prestigious private colleges in Japan. He is there to meet his girlfriend Reika. It is here that they meet a woman with dark skin and long dark hair. She introduces herself as a freshman in science, who studies basic physics, with a major in theoretical physics. She is Meiou Setsuna. Motoki comments on how the room is filled with plants and that Makochan (Makoto/Jupiter) would love it here. As they leave Setsuna, they comment:

"So, isn't she pretty?" says Reika. "Meiou Setsuna-chan must be the prettiest at this school."

"Yeah, really," says Motoki. "She carries herself with the grace of an adult. She's intellectual and beautiful. Er, um... So what kind of research is she helping with?"

"I think that professor studies anti-gravity in America. She said that there's something strange about the space in the Delta area. They're investigating the surroundings very deeply."

" Look, there's all those weird black clouds... It's a little scary. Those are definitely rain clouds. This place has strange weather. The rainy season hasn't ended at all." Reika says.

On the other side of town:

A dog in a glass chamber transforms into a large monster in a flash of light.

"It mutated into a failed daimon again," Tomoe says.

"Professor," says Kaolinite. "It is time for the contact."

They go to the fountain in the pool of water outside the old stone castle. They kneel before it. The statue glows. "Ohh..." the voice says. "I am waiting for the light of the source of life, the Taioron Crystal. Gather more and more souls of the humans. We still do not have enough." "I apologize, Master Pharaoh 90," says Kaolinite. "We will surely bring many souls here."

"There is only one method to take action in this world now," Pharaoh 90 says. "I take it you are progressing with the utilization."

"We are attempting the utilization by planting eggs in the human bodies that souls have been taken from," says Tomoe. "The outsiders are interrupting us. In the experiments, 90 percent become atavistic. The time to make them complete like us is not yet... Then the complete ones will bring the ruin of the outsiders, the sailor soldiers."

"Take care of the outsider sailor soldiers that carry the protection of planets at once!" Pharaoh 90 says. "Eliminate them! I will recover all my power. We must be patient until the utilization is performed. This land will be our second mother planet. Nothing must stop us!"

"Certainly!" says Kaolinite. "The carriers of the lights of the planets' protection, the sailor soldiers! I will eliminate them at once!"

"Sailor Moon..." says Pharaoh 90. "She destroyed the daimons in an instant. What is that strong brightness called? Is that Sailor Moon's soul!? The souls of the humans are no match for it. That power... It's brilliance is like that of our source of life, the Taioron Crystal. But, the ominous light that will guide us to ruin could be near it. In the light of the planets' protection... The time of awakening is near."

"The light that will guide us to ruin..." thinks Kaolinite. "Could that be the three talismans, in the light of the planets' protection!?"

"Take Sailor Moon's brilliance, the infinite power, immediately!" says Pharaoh 90. "For our revival! Eliminate our impending ruin! By our hand, the sailor soldiers and the humans of this world will be led to ruin!"

Tomoe and Kaolinite leave. "Since the outsiders, the sailor soldiers, have appeared," says Tomoe, "the master has seemed cheerful."

Kaolinite goes to the pool of water. "So selfish, knowing nothing of the trouble I go to..." she thinks. "Now I'm supposed to find the secret of the sailor soldiers' power, and the true form of the guiding talismans. The sailor soldiers... Troublesome fools..."

A woman appears behind her. "Kaolinite," she says. "The master says we must obtain lots of souls."

"I am the instructor of the phys. ed. class at the school," the woman says. "I am also in charge of the botanical garden. I can't stand leaving things half done like Viluy did. I am Tellu, level 404, and I will obtain the highest quality souls. At the master's request, the souls of the sailor soldiers. Then I will bring the power that resembles the Taioron Crystal!"

At the same time:

"Everyone! Your clay works displayed in the hall have received many compliments from other classes and teachers. Now the display is over, so you can all take your works back."

All the students get their clay sculptures. Chibi-Usa takes her jeweled chalice.

"Now then," says the teacher. "This week's goal is to present them to someone important to you. Everyone give the sculpture you made to someone important to you, as a token of gratitude. For example, your dad, your mom, or your best friend."

"Oh..." Chibi-Usa says. "I have to give someone this legendary holy chalice that was so hard to make. Momo-chan, what are you going to do?"

"It's almost my mom's birthday," says Momoko. "I'll give it as a present."

Kyusuke drops a cup on Chibi-Usa's desk. "Chibi-Usa! Here!"

"A Sailor Moon design!" says Momoko. "Wow! Kyusuke, that's clever!"

"Why are you giving it to me?" asks Chibi-Usa.

Kyusuke turns red. "Huh!? Well-! You see-! I admit I've been a bad friend to you. It's a sign of friendship."

"A sign of friendship..." Chibi-Usa says. "I'll... give it to Hotaru-chan."

"Hotaru-chan?" says Momoko. "Is that the older girl you met recently at the Infinity School?"

"Yep! She's really pretty and mysterious!"

"Hmph."

Two girls walk between classes at the Infinity School. They see Hotaru. "That's the 6th grader, Tomoe-san," says one girl. "She's carrying her bag. Is she leaving early again?"

"Is she weak-bodied?" says the other. "She's been wearing those long tights all year."

"She's such a dark person. She always has a vacant face. It's well-known that she's a bit strange."

"Naturally. Her father's a mad scientist. Doesn't she have any friends?"

Hotaru drops to the ground coughing. She reaches for a pen case. One of the girls steps on it.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, Tomoe Hotaru-senpai. You worn out? Need some help?"

Hotaru picks up the case.

"Tomoe-senpai?"

Hotaru's glares at them. She crushes the case in her hand. The girls gasp. "Wh- What!? She crushed the pen case!?" Hotaru walks away. "She looked at us so angrily... Like she was another person!?"

Usagi stares out the window. Rain pours outside.

Makoto slaps her on the back. "What's the matter, Usagi? You look like you're lovesick."

"That's not it.. I want to meet Haruka-san and Michiru-san. Let's look for where they live! I want to see them, and talk to them. They're the same sailor soldiers, but why do they keep fighting us? It can't continue! I want to go ask them!"

The school bell rings.

"Let's go," says Makoto. "We have work to do."

"You two..." Usagi says. "You're so cold!"

"What's wrong Usagi?"

"We should do what we can right away," says Ami. "Usagi-chan, did you get detention?"

Usagi groans. "Yeah..."

We follow Makoto home and learn that Sasanquas are her favorite flowers because they remind her of the boy she loved. She tells her friend that she has lots of plants in her house but that lately they haven't healthy. She blames it on the strange weather, how it's suddenly hot then cold.

Her friend tells her of a new plant that grow and soak in water from the atmosphere. The infinity school sells them...Makoto thinks about the plant....it is called Tellurian.

Later at the command center, Usagi, Ami, Makoto and Minako are discussing how the enemies are from the Infinity School and that they must prevent them from spreading outr into the city like the Black Moon did, seeping in undetected. Luna and Artemis discuss the Delta Area which seems to have abnormal energy coming from it, in particular the Infinity zone.

Usagi studies up on Professor Tomoe

"Specialty is genetic engineering," Usagi reads from the computer. "Owner of the Infinity School. Resides at the Tomoe Research Labs. Hey, he has a daughter. Tomoe Hotaru. She... saved Chibi-Usa before. That kid is Hotaru-chan? Oh...!? Chibi-Usa said she was becoming good friends with Hotaru-chan. She's been going to her house to see her. Is she okay!?"

They leave the command center. They pass a flower shop.

"Hey, wait," says Makoto. "This is it. The plants that grow without water, tellurians. Are they being sold from the Infinity School?" "Oh, we're selling lots of those now," says the clerk. "They're easy. You don't have to give them any water at all. In a week, they'll turn into a beautiful pink, and smell great." Makoto buys one of them "I'm a little worried," says Makoto. "I've never seen this kind of plant before."

Onto Usagi's home:

"I'm home!"

Usagi sees Chibi-Usa putting on her shoes. "Hey, Chibi-Usa, where are you going?"

"Hotaru-chan's."

"I'm going with you!"

"Huh!?"

"Well, it's raining hard, and it's already pitch-dark. I'm going with you."

They enter the Tomoe Research Labs.

"Hey! Hey!" Usagi says. "You shouldn't just barge in."

"Well, I couldn't find the intercom. Hi!"

"What business do you have here?" asks Kaolinite. "Trespassers."

"They're my guests, Kaoli-san!" Hotaru says.

"Hotaru-chan!" says Usagi.

Kaolinite walks away. "Odd," she thinks. "She has guests."

"What is it?" Hotaru says. "What have you come to see me together for?"

"Hey!" says Chibi-Usa. She sets the chalice on the table. "I made this in art class at school. I thought I'd give it to you."

"What!?" Usagi says. "Chibi-Usa! That's-! That's the holy chalice Mamo-chan and I worked so hard to make!"

"This week we're supposed to give what we made to someone important to us. My friend gave hers to her mom. I thought it would be a good idea to give this to you as a sign of friendship."

"Hmph," says Usagi. "You mean you're not giving it to Mamo-chan?"

"But you and Mamo-chan helped me together. It wouldn't be fair to just give it to him."

"Chibi-Usa-chan," says Hotaru. "You made this for an important person? I shouldn't be the one to have it. You have to keep it for yourself... Thank you, Chibi-Usa-chan."

"I feel like I'm being drawn in," thinks Usagi. "To her deep black eyes... Like they know everything..."

Usagi gets up. "Um, excuse me. May I use the bathroom?"

"It's at the end of the hallway."

"Thanks."

Hotaru drops to her knees, coughing. "Hotaru-chan!?" Chibi-Usa says.

"I'm having more fits," Hotaru thinks. "Someone's voice is calling inside my head... Today I fainted like this at school. My memory after that..."

Hotaru reaches out for the brooch on Chibi-Usa's chest. "Ahh... When I touch your amulet, Chibi-Usa-chan, I start to feel better. It fills me with power."

"Really?" >[? "My amulet has great power. What is this? What power does it have?"

"The Mystical Silver Crystal."

"M.y.s.t.i.c.a.l... S.i.l.v.e.r... C.r.y.s.t.a.l..."

"Hotaru-chan?"

Hotaru covers her mouth. "What!?" she thinks. "That-!? Now I wanted to take her amulet for myself... Why!? Now... It was like somebody inside me... was talking..."

Kaolinite stands behind the door to the room. "The Mystical Silver Crystal?"

Usagi looks out the window.

"The Infinity School is right behind the research lab," she thinks. "There must be an animal research lab like Ami-chan was talking about here, too. When Hotaru-chan saved us, the monsters appeared from the research lab. I wonder what this laboratory is researching." She gasps as she feels a hand on her shoulder. She turns around.

"What are you looking for?" Tomoe asks.

"Oh!! I-! Err-! Ho- Ho- Hotaru-chan's room. I got lost looking for it."

"Ah, you're Hotaru-chan's friend." He takes Usagi to her room. "Hotaru."

"Dad!"

"It's time for your checkup."

"Oh, well then we'll be leaving," says Usagi.

"Bye-bye!" Chibi-Usa says. "See you later!"

"That's Professor Tomoe," thinks Usagi. "His hands were hard, and cold as ice. Not like human hands..."

As they walk home, Chibi-Usa sees a woman with dark skin and long, dark hair in the crowd. "That's...!"

"Chibi-Usa?" Usagi says.

"She's gone! It couldn't be... It couldn't be... She was walking right here..."

Minako enters Makoto's apartment. "Wow! Mako-chan, it's been such a long time. Everything's green again."

"But they're not doing very well, since it's raining so much. It's on the card. 'Tellurian.' Plant breeding by Teruno Ruru, Infinity School." Makoto yawns. "I'm so sleepy..."

"Yeah, I'm so tired..." They drift off to sleep.

"Mako-chan!" Minako calls.

"Huh...?" Makoto sits up. "I feel weak..."

"Mako-chan! Look at this!"

"What!? The tellurian has already bloomed!? No way!"

"Mako-chan! The plants over there!"

"They've all withered!?"

Makoto takes a butcher knife and cuts through the tellurian. Gases fill the air.

Usagi looks at the map on the wall. "Hmph. The Delta. Three pieces of land are linked together. The Ten'ou zone... The Kaiou zone... The same as Haruka-san and Michiru-san's surnames..."

"Usagi!?" Makoto calls. "Chibi-Usa!?"

"Mako-chan! Everyone! What's wrong? Where are you going?"

"The Infinity School botanical garden! The enemies!"

Usagi sees Haruka and Michiru walking. "Haruka-san! Michiru-san!?" They look back, then run off. "Wait!"

"Why did they run away?" Usagi thinks. "Haruka-san! Don't you want to meet us!?"

They walk to the Ten'nou zone condominium tower. [That's not a typo, the spelling is slightly different.]

"The tallest building in the Ten'nou zone. They live so close, in Minato Ward." Usagi goes to room 1127, Haruka's room. "Haruka-san?" she says. "You're a sailor soldier like us, but why can't you fight together with us?"

Haruka leans against the door inside, listening.

"Why won't you tell us anything?"

"Now what we must do," Usagi says, "is hold off the spread of the enemies' influence. Right?"

"The Infinity zone," says Minako. "The winds are always strong here. When I come here, my body burns."

"Something is unusual," says Rei. "Ghastly. It's much stronger than before."

They enter the Infinity botanical garden.

"It's just like a jungle," says Makoto.

"Look!" says Rei.

"The people are collapsing! There's pink flowers all over. This sweet scent of poison... The tellurians!?"

"I'm losing strength!"

"Heh heh heh... The highest quality life energy."

"You!?" Makoto says.

"Carriers of the planets' protection," Tellu says. "The sailor soldiers themselves. How lucky that you've come here. Heh heh. The tellurians are the alter self of me, Tellu. I soak up life energy with my beautifully crafted flowers. The mass of humans' life energy, their souls, absorbed. If I offer the flowers, the master will be pleased, and I will be granted the position of Magus, like Kaolinite!"

Setsuna lies on the floor. A tellurian is nearby, soaking her energy.

Haruka's head jerks up. Michiru looks around from her apartment in the Kaiou zone. "Somebody's in pain..."

"Who?" they think. "Someone very close to us... Our ally!?"

"It hurts..." Setsuna thinks. "My strength is fading rapidly... Somebody... Save me... Am I going to die here!? No. I can't die yet. I was born here. The meaning... I was reborn. Meaning...Awaken!"

The sign of the planet Pluto appears on her forehead. The signs of Uranus and Neptune appear on Haruka and Michiru's foreheads. Haruka and Michiru appear in the room with Setsuna. "The time has come!"

Leaves blow in the wind around Mamoru. "What!? This-!? Now, something, somewhere, has awakened!?"

"Everyone!" Usagi calls. "Transform! Moon Cosmic Power!"

"Moon Prism Power! Make Up!!"

"I am the soldier of mystery, and I carry the protection of the planet of love and justice, the moon. I am Sailor Moon!"

"And I'm Sailor Chibi-Moon!"

"You've shown your true selves!" Tellu says. "The sailor soldiers, carriers of the planets' protection. I am Tellu, level 404, and I will take your souls, and the power similar to the Taioron Crystal! I will tear your bodies into pieces and use them as fertilizer! Mandragora Buster!"

"Jupiter Coconut Cyclone!"

Tellu falls back.

Usagi raises the heart moon rod. "Moon Spiral Heart Attack!"

"Heh heh!" Tellu says. "That's the highest quality power! Why such a pathetic attack?"

"What!?" Usagi thinks. "I can't hesitate. Bring out all my power. I must defeat the enemy before me. But... Uranus, Neptune!"

"Sailor Moon..." thinks Chibi-Usa. "I want power too. I want a weapon! So I can save Sailor Moon, and we can fight together! Mom!!"

A black ball falls from the sky. "Luna-P!?" It turns into a small rod. "Is this my rod? The moon rod...!? Amazing. My self today. My power is coming out. Until now it hasn't been." She thrusts the rod forward. "Pink Sugar Heart Attack!"

Tellu is enveloped in light, and mutates into a monster.

"Chibi-Moon!" Mamoru calls.

"Dead Scream!!"

Tellu is torn apart.

The soldiers, Usagi, and Mamoru gasp.

"That low voice..." Chibi-Usa thinks. "That attack..."

They turn and see Sailor Pluto holding her garnet rod, standing with Uranus and Neptune.
